Who is an Endodontist?

An endodontist is a specialised dentist with special training in diagnosing and treating problems associated with the root canal system of the tooth.

Endodontists complete five years of dental school and then an additional two or more years of advanced training in endodontics.  Endodontists are licensed by the Dental Board of Australia in affiliation with AHPRA.

Endodontists routinely acquire continuing education to stay abreast of state-of-the-art research, clinical procedures, and technology, such as operating microscopes, ultrasonics and digital imaging.

The Endodontists at A/Prof Phillippe O Zimet's Endodontic Practice are also mentors and teachers to the upcoming generation of dental students and future endodontists.
